Automotive buyers continue to demand more Digital Retailing features, whether starting their search at an aggregator website or a dealership website. They desire to do as much of the sales process online as they want. How much they want to get done varies depending on their comfort level in the digital sales process.

Some are afraid to give any information whatsoever and will just anonymously show up at the dealership showroom. The other extreme is customers who want to complete the purchase online and have the vehicle dropped off or just pick it up at the dealership. Many buyers fall somewhere in between. They want to know price options, trade values, credit options and are willing to provide some personal information to get the buying process started online.

These mid-range customers are the customers we are helping AutoWeb move further down the sales funnel. CreditIQ Digital Retailing (DR) features allow customers to increase their knowledge and take the next step in the sales path when desired. Providing an online sales path helps AutoWeb provide deeper engagement for customers looking to take the next step or steps before heading to a dealership.

Deeper engagement means the leads AutoWeb provides its dealer partners are more likely to finalize a sale. The “owner” mindset turns on at a certain point, and the psychological desire to complete the deal motivates the customer. Dealers have used this same motivation in the showroom for decades, and it’s no different online.

We are very excited to be working with AutoWeb and look forward to its continued success to better match automotive buyers with the company’s dealer partners.
